Integrating API Documentation
Last time we got good results when we tried out TypeDoc for API reference documentation generation. I left you with a cliff hanger. How do we integrate TypeDoc into my GitHub Pages based publishing pipeline? And how should we surface API documentation on the blog focused Candid Startup site?

Legal Jeopardy
A few weeks ago I received a LinkedIn message from a former colleague at Autodesk. Nothing unusual about that. It’s always a pleasure to reconnect with old acquaintances and catch up with their news.

One Year Anniversary
My first “proper” post to this blog was on September 5th 2022 (I don’t count the test post from August 2nd). A week later, I retired from my role at Autodesk. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been doing this for a year.

Posts and Topics
I’ve had a fun few days messing around with the blog. The trigger was some feedback from a first time visitor. They found the long, seemingly endlessly scrolling, list of posts intimidating and hard to navigate. Clearly, I now had enough posts to test out whatever navigation scheme I came up with.

How's that blog of yours working out?
Thanks for asking. It’s been a couple of months since I left Autodesk. I’ve made a few posts, started to settle into a rhythm. Time to have a look at the analytics and see if anyone is reading this stuff.

Setting up my Mac for local blog development
I intend to cover a variety of topics here. For example, deep thinking about industry trends and startup ideas, juicy gossip from my days at Autodesk or lab journal entries documenting my progress. Full disclosure - there’s no deep thinking or juicy gossip today.

What is The Candid Startup anyway?
The Candid Startup started as a joke. I was always amused by the people that leave Autodesk for a “Stealth Startup”. There’s something a little arrogant in thinking that your idea is so ground breaking, so revolutionary, so original that you have to keep it secret. It doesn’t say much for your abilities that you worry that anyone else that hears your idea will be able to implement it better than you can.
